Even the sparrow has found a home, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she may have her young... a place near your altar, O Lord Almighty, my King and my God." Psalm 84:3

bring some for me, too.

I was cleaning the bathroom, the boys chattering to each other in the nearby kitchen. I wasn't really listening but my ears perked up when I heard Sam say THIS:"Nope. I am never gettin' married."

Josiah, speaking from his extra 2 years of living and the know-it-allness of a firstborn, responds with "Someday, you're gonna change your mind."

to which Sam repeats firmly "I'm not, ever."

So big brother, remembering how Sam moans over his chores, counters with "Well then, who is going to take care of you? You'll have to do all the work! (and here's the line that made me bust out in laughter...)
Have you EVER seen DAD mop a floor?"

This fact startles Sam into silence. Wow. That clear fact does complicates things. Let's see now?Pro--A life without cootie girls. Con--housework. Undauntered, his optimism suddenly springs up again-

"I know! I'll get servants!" Josiah tsks tsks. No, can't be done. See, no one has servants anymore-that's all in the past.

To which Sam replies: "I'm bringing it back"
