Josiah and Sam both found email penpals this week through this site, recommended by "The Old Schoolhouse Magazine" http://www.kidsmc.com/penpal/# .
Sam is now writing to Gil, a 10 year old boy who is studying in an art school by the sea, in Israel. Josiah's new friend is Leonid, a 12 year old boy in Russia who happens to share several of his interests. Next week we will put together a simple notebook for them to save their printed email letters, adding maps and cultural information about the two countries.
It's so exciting to think where this simple beginning could someday lead!
