Took a few photos this afternoon to show how we enjoyed the perfect sunny day...when you know the rainy season is-a-comin' so you make the most of every hour of clear skies!
Caleb and Sam took turns playing Ox and Wagon-Driver, up and down the driveway, their laughter and gruffly shouted orders "Get along there!" punctuating our work...
This summer Josiah broke the school window accidentally-no worries until it started to get chilly! We've had lessons in the house the last few weeks and so the Principal took it upon himself to improve school property. We spent the morning searching out an inexpensive vinyl window and found this one for $99. Bathroom privacy glass is fine for that savings! John worked all afternoon and we'll appreciate it plenty on Monday morning...
As John worked on the Barn I got re-acquainted with my yard. Lots of deadheading and pruning and dividing of perennials. (email me if you would like some red canna bulbs) It felt good to get my hands in the dirt, and see those shaggy overgrown flower beds get all groomed and tidy for the winter ahead...
Josiah is feeling a little under the weather but his Mom is just a hair shy of crazy and thinks breathing outdoor air is always the healthiest choice. We compromised and he still got to curl up with a blanket and a book but outside, in the hammock...
and this maple tree... Just because it's showing off.
