Even the sparrow has found a home, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she may have her young... a place near your altar, O Lord Almighty, my King and my God." Psalm 84:3

Good day.

Victory 1#
We had our yard sale today and though the shoppers were few and far between, we made over $300 for LLS! Thanks go out to several families (you know who you are!) for the generous donations-your stuff sold well! Thanks also to the Johnston family for helping set up, price items and the yummy gift of pizzas. Those were a big help, both last night and today at lunch when we were all exhausted and hungry!!
We are going to hold the yard sale tomorrow, also, and hopefully sell a little more. We still have a lot of stuff in our driveway!

Victory #2
Some of you know how anxious I was over todays run with the Team in Training group. We are now ramping up the mileage, since San Francisco is only 36 days away! so, today:
I ran today for over 2 hours. (I've never run that long!)
I made it to the top of Skinners Butte (another first-5 years we've lived here!)
Tried GUs (energy gels) for the first time (and they really helped my energy level stay high)
the biggest of all?
A new PR (personal record) for me...
I ran TEN MILES today!
It's the longest and farthest I have ever gone!

Oh there is nothing like the thrill of victory. Totally worth the agony of da feet.

Congrats on both victories! Now I feel bad because I always feel so exhausted after hosting a garage sale. Now I just get to think, "Well, Brenda ran TEN MILES, then did a garage sale. What am I complaining about?" HA, HA, HA
We were able to raise $50 towards your effort with our yard sale. We really didn't have that many people come by. Plus, we didn't have any really big ticket items (that sold). Caitlin and Cody are still saving some of their smaller coins as well! (Might end up being another $11.49!) Take care!

I was going to suggest saving the stuff for next weekend too if you still have a bunch left over.
