out of the black Croc look-alike sandals Sam chose at Sprawl-mart, waaayy back in early June...
a full Summer's worth of adventure.
All three of the boys are continuously growing but Sam? Right now he is in a full-blown mega growth spurt. Not known as the heartiest eater, lately he has been asking for second and even third helpings. All of his pants are an inch above ankle. Even his toes are stretching out, pushing their way through shoes!
Yes, Sam LOVED these ugly shoes. Wore them everywhere the last few months. Even church, if I didn't catch him at the door. The rubbery shoe, mixed with boy sweat, dyed the bottoms of his feet a morbid black which he thought was "so cool". He reluctantly chose new shoes at Target, but when he wasn't wearing them I knew we had to take out any options. I was a mean Mom and forced him to throw those great! (cheap) favorite! (broken) wonderful! (stinky) loved! (old) shoes in the TRASH...
His big complaint about these basic canvas boat shoes?
"They're just...I don't know...all fancy-shmancy."
