Even the sparrow has found a home, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she may have her young... a place near your altar, O Lord Almighty, my King and my God." Psalm 84:3

my old man

had a birthday yesterday. He requested that I order his favorite Market of Choice lemon cake. Apparently, he likes it more than mine. I have such strong love for this man that I didn't take such a sharp, stabbing betrayal personally. Go, me.
We went with Oregon Ducks colors. When I asked if they could do a Denver Broncos design on the cake, the bakery hussy calmly said "wrong state."His birthday dinner request? Rib-eye steak. Baked potatoes. Corn on the cob. Salad. Puglinese bread dipped in olive oil/balsamic vinegar.
Lucy was part of the celebration too. She was thrilled over her first steak bones!
2 out of 4 boys are staring at the cake. That ghastly, contemptible, made by unloving hands, cake. Testing me, they are...

Sherri drove down from Portland for the day to help her little brother celebrate. They took Lee and Josiah along for 18 holes of golf. John said it was a great birthday.
I'm glad. Have I mentioned this on here, ever? How he is pretty close to perfect as far as husbands go...?
(despite that adulterous cake issue)
