Umpqua Lighthouse State Park, near Reedsport, Or. We stayed 3 days/2 nights in a deluxe yurt-Full bathroom with shower, sleeping for 7, microwave, fridge, bbq and even a TV for $45 a night. This is a perfect compromise for our marriage since John desires to stay in a 5 star hotel and mine would be to build our own lean-to shelter out of branches and pine sap. My Mom and her husband rented a nearby rustic cabin, the weather was sunny crisp and in the 70s. We ate smores, walked on the beach and fed squirrels. A perfect way to end the Summer (more photos to follow)
A trail walk around Lake Marie...I mistakenly thought we could squeeze in a quick adventure before the sunset, forgetting how dense the forest canopy is! You see how the boys are prepared to defend their Mother and Grandmother against any marauding grizzlies?
