Sunday, as we are racing out the door to church, I notice that all three sons are dressed somewhat alike. I grabbed the camera because there is nothing cuter (they prefer the term "handsome", if I must use any silly adjectives, at all). I am so used to seeing them wild and unkempt that a morning like this is a treat to my tired eyes.
Just look at them! Tall and slightly tan from months of play, all freshly scrubbed with hair (mostly) combed, and wearing freshly pressed button-down, cotton shirts. They weren't dressed alike on purpose, for each had gotten dressed independently but then, their choices for Sunday clothes are limited. They have a personal shopper (Moi) who has a preference (just realized!) for traditional, preppy shirts in cotton plaid or solid colored polo shirts. With that wild variety of tops, they can wear either khakis or jeans for bottoms. With 4 men in the house, all asking me what to wear and what matches and could I iron this? I try to keep it simple and don't get too liberal with the fashion, here...
Each boy groaned a bit when I insisted we stop our mad scramble to get in the car, and take a minute to capture this brief moment of cleanliness and order.
I knew it couldn't wait.
There would be stains and mussed hair before we pulled into the church parking lot, and I wanted one photo as proof that occasionally? They clean up pretty good!

Those are cute boys! We like them!
Very handsome sons you've got there!
Can't believe how much everyone has grown over the past year.
