Even the sparrow has found a home, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she may have her young... a place near your altar, O Lord Almighty, my King and my God." Psalm 84:3

rites of passage-Josiah is driving!

Ok-just the lawn tractor, on 2 or 3 passes around the pasture, but it's a start he is very excited about! This was our conversation afterwards:

"Mom, you made driving look so easy...when I watch you drive you are drinking coffee and singing. But it's harder than I thought! Especially that turning...no wonder you got in so many car accidents...!"
"Umm, son, for the record...5 car accidents in 20 years isn't THAT bad..."
"But how many has DAD had?"
(silence)
"hmmm. Maybe it's just girl-drivers"

Sorry fellow women-all that hard work by feminist leaders, undone by my bad example...

Hi. I finally was able to sign up so as to be able to post a note!
I was shocked at how old Josiah looked driving the tractor! His legs and feet look like his dad's! Getting really talllll. I was thinking I should say hide the car keys, but you'de be better off hiding them from Caleb!! haha

Josiah, you are Awesome! Doesn't it feel great to drive? Have you jumped it yet? I'm gonna talk with Grandpa Del and see if he will buy a new off road race car... You think that tractor is fast just wait...
haha, wouldn't that be cool.

It won't be long and it will be the car keys! But contrary to popular opinion - I think it is wonderful when they can drive!!!! It is such a help and I get to stay home more!
