Even the sparrow has found a home, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she may have her young... a place near your altar, O Lord Almighty, my King and my God." Psalm 84:3

half dead...?

...since Scripture states God gives us 3 score and 10 years for our life...? On Thursday I celebrated getting mid-way through. 35 years old! 26 as a Christian. 21 in love with John (yes, really-no, i can't believe it either). 12 as a gardener. 11.5 as a Mommy. 32 in Washington. 3 in Oregon. Pretty great, these years and I have only hope and optimism about the future. Was showered with well wishes from friends and family all day and I pretty much spent my day basking in the happiness of being loved, like a cat in the sunshine.

I am off to meet 2 faithful friends for our weekly exercise in pain-10 miles today, gearing up for our half marathon that is -gasp!-30 days away now. What have I agreed to?!!!! There is more to blog about (Caleb has some big news!) so i will pop back on here soon, i promise.

So sorry. These blog posts have been quite infrequent, haven't they? The weather is so SPRINGISH lately that I am neglecting everything to play outside. The spring green in the Willamette Valley is so bright it literally hurts your eyes to look at it-it's like I imagine Ireland must look!? (No wonder the pioneers all headed for Orygun) So the cabin fever of Nov-Feb has to be made up for and now we hate 4 walls around us-the boys and I are outdoors constantly. By May the ignored housework will reach critical mass and be in danger of harming our health but Oh! "the grounds" will be so pretty! If you come to visit, and I greet you on the porch, and just talk to you in the yard, and won't let you come indoors to get a beverage or use the restroom but keep showing you the purple clematis and how tall the french beans are and oh come away from that window, here look at the roses!....well, now you know why.

I have watched our little corner of the world turn green before my eyes as well. Come take a peek at ours, where the inside AND outside are untidy! ~F
