all about Josiah

This is straight from him! Here are some things you may not have known about our sweet firstborn son:

he can't choose between Lord of The Rings and Eragon (the appeal here is also that Mom doesn't like them i believe...)

He loves camping, playing tennis with Dad, and he's a great bike rider. He collects books and once he starts enjoying an author he wants to collect all in the series (right now he's enjoying Left Behind:the Kids) He gives great back rubs (as mentioned before on this blog!) His daily chores are emptying the dishwasher, getting firewood, feeding the rabbit and cleaning his room and he usually does these things cheerfully and quickly, can you believe it? He is 2 inches away from passing his little Mama in stature (this summer, no doubt). Our dog Sadie has slept with him ever since we gave up on her being a deer-chaser. Now that we have caught her eating snacks from the cats litter box (eeewwww) he doesn't want her in his bed (understandable) but reported this morning that the wise old girl waits until he is fast asleep then climbs in next to him. He builds something everyday, whether its with K'nex, Legos or Bionicles. With his careful, methodical nature and good drawing skills I would not be surprised if he became an architect someday?! He's a great kid, our Josiah, and what is his finest trait by far is that he loves the Word, just like the original king Josiah. That was our prayer before he was born when we chose his name...pretty wonderful to see those prayers beginning to be answered
