Even the sparrow has found a home, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she may have her young... a place near your altar, O Lord Almighty, my King and my God." Psalm 84:3

just the facts, ma'am.

Pastor Neil's comment made me a little curious, too! So I went back to homeschool blogger (where the first blog, "An Audience of One" began) and did some math. There were just 15 entries on there, but they count too! so:

There is a grand total of 338 posts, for an average of 1 post every 2 days.
(that's not too bad! I would've guessed every 4-5 days)

the first entry was actually Jan 19, 2007, on the other site.
this Sparrow Journey blog was begun Feb. 7, 2007.

(and by the way, this was all originally intended to be a private blog, where I just posted little things to remember and scrapbook later---but then darling John "outed" me. He had a burst of supportive enthusiasm and secretly e-mailed the blog address to everyone we know, remember? And each time I am tempted to quit, he invokes that deep "head of the household" voice to insist I do not.
I just love him.)

speaking of my Knight, look what John started working on while I was away at Women's Retreat?!!

yes! the benches in the entryway!

Which is why he was way too busy to do laundry and I've been playing catch-up today...but that's all right!
He did a lot of other things because the house was relatively tidy when I got back yesterday, which was thoughtful. The retreat was wonderful-sharing and worship and prayer and laughter with 70 women from my church family. But as great as it was? It still felt really good to be home last night with just
my four favorite men.
