The other day when Josiah went to take Caitlins' hand she replied (in that brutally honest 3 year old speak) "No!Just My Sammy!" and took his hand, instead. Josiah shrugged and grinned, with no hard feelings. After 3 years we all know that's just how it is between those two. They share a special bond and a connection that is so fun to watch.Is it because they share the same birthday? Is it because he looks and acts so much like his Uncle, her Daddy? Because Sam worships her, and she knows it?
Doesn't matter, really. But here's my theory...that it's just how relationships are, sometimes. You meet someone and you just instantly like 'em. You can't put your finger on why but you feel safe with them. A kindred spirit. A connection somehow made. An understanding of each others hearts. And if you are smart: you grab that blessing, recognize it's heavenly origins and then you
don't let go.
