Even the sparrow has found a home, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she may have her young... a place near your altar, O Lord Almighty, my King and my God." Psalm 84:3

reassurance

We joined a Co-op Science class this year and it was a hard decision for me to make. I have really felt led over the last year to stay home as much as possible. To step out and let go of most of the "good" (classes, play-dates, lessons, teams etc) and make room for the "better" (home, quiet, peace, being a family, actually getting school done). Not easy for an extrovert!
(Maybe my kids don't lack socialization but sometimes I do!!)

So as I looked into this particular opportunity I prayed for clear direction. Went to the first meeting and liked the curriculum (but I like most of them...!) Liked the other Moms I would share teaching with (but I like everybody....!) So I asked John ("go ahead, if you want"...that's what he always says!) Anyway, I didn't feel God's clear "No"-that unsettled, lack 'o peace feeling I get in my gut. I went ahead and ordered the books we needed on Ebay. The package had a Teachers Manual, CD, and 2 workbooks-one each for the younger boys and I would buy a new one for Josiah. The seller said they were used, lightly in pencil, and had names written on the front-no biggie. When they arrived in the mail we opened them up and I started to laugh.

God really knows how to reassure His kids. On the front of both books, written in black Sharpie, were the names Samuel and Caleb.
