Even the sparrow has found a home, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she may have her young... a place near your altar, O Lord Almighty, my King and my God." Psalm 84:3

seesaw

It's been a long, bittersweet week. One of those times in life where the good and bad all swirl around each other and you don't know just how to feel. Like a seesaw, up and down until you get a little nauseous and just want things to hold still.

We helped at our church carnival outreach, boys had great fun (UP) We dealt with some viral illness that was pretty contagious. (DOWN) We celebrated Josiah's birthday with lasagna and love (UP) We said goodbye to some great friends who had to move. (DOWN) We caught up on some badly needed family time and organized bedrooms/school area (UP) We didn't start school as I had planned/hoped (DOWN)

None of the week's events were earth shattering in themselves,
it's just LIFE. The goodbyes and the hellos and the wonderful, painful mix of it all. Tonight I am especially grateful to the One who said come unto Me, all you who are weary and heavy-laden and I will give you rest.

Tomorrow I promise to post a long-let me warn you here-braggy post about our firstborn, in honor of his birthday!
