Even the sparrow has found a home, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she may have her young... a place near your altar, O Lord Almighty, my King and my God." Psalm 84:3

Father's Day

John's favorite place is the beach, so that is where we spent Father's Day. We live 40 miles from the Pacific and after 3 years here it still amazes us to have such beauty waiting there, accessible with just a hop in the car. We did all our favorite Coast activities because having children means if you do something twice, it's then tradition, and you do it forever. We enjoyed delicious meals at Mo's (Lincoln City) and at Roque Bayview (Newport) restaurants. It was a bit windy but we had to get barefoot and go walking on the shoreline, looking for little shells and big whales. As always, we have to stop at BJ's (Florence) on the way home for ice cream cones (Caleb prayed they would still be open after 10 am, on a Sunday, and they actually were! He was pretty happy!) But best of all was just spending lots of relaxing, easy time together. John said that was "just what I needed"
