Even the sparrow has found a home, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she may have her young... a place near your altar, O Lord Almighty, my King and my God." Psalm 84:3

day trip to Bandon

what is it about boys (of all ages!)
that you see a dock and you need to spit?!

Aren't they beautiful?! I feel
so blessed to have a nice sister in law

my brother is a great Dad-I love
watching him interact with his incredibly
smart, sweet, and funny 3 yr old girl (who
was born on Sam's birthday by the way!)

Caleb waves "hello" to all seven of our
faithful blog readers from the beach grass!

We met my brother, his wife and 3 year old daughter (and their son, though we won't meet him until he's born in October!) yesterday-great little day trip down the southern Oregon Coast. We explored Coos Bay, North Bend, and Bandon. It was beautiful, after the morning showers finished their tantrum. Crazy, this Oregon weather that changes constantly, but is especially bipolar the nearer you get to the ocean. Don't make plans around the weather, for it's far too tempermental. We've learned you just bring half the closet (1 day away but 5 people involved so you still need a suitcase). Load up on t-shirts AND sweatshirts, warm socks AND sandals, sweats AND shorts. Then you add or remove layers every 20 minutes. For that's how often it changes...
It doesn't bother me, not being very predictable myself. When the very large and over-us-all sky itself flips and flops back and forth in its' moods...well, who am I to call the kettle black?!
